About us

Nestled at the heart of Lipa, Batangas, with the majestic view of Mt. Malayarat in the background, lies Esguerra Farms & Stud Inc. Started in the year 2000, the farm has grown from a family refuge away from city life to the birthplace of some of the country’s premiere race horses. The farm comes full circle producing quality fruits and vegetables and providing a nurturing environment for farm animals. It has showcased sustainable living years before this evolved into a trendy lifestyle practice.

The Esguerra family got introduced to the distinct quality of Kurobuta pork through a family friend. It didn’t take long for them to start raising Kurobuta pigs locally in the most appropriate setting to complement free-range, antibiotic and hormone free farming.

Kurobuta which means "black pig" is the Japanese name for this heritage breed of hogs from the English county of Berkshire. In the Philippines, Esguerra Farms' vast expense and world-class facilities provide the best conditions to raise these so-called “happy pigs.”

Esguerra Kurobuta are naturally grown and are exposed to elements like the sun, wind and rain. Pasture-raised, they can roam around the farm’s ample space for running and walking.

Esguerra Farms is a well-planned and periodically upgraded facility, continuously and consistently promoting quality to the next level. The deeper meaning of this advocacy is to make the healthiest quality farm produce accessible to many Filipinos.
