About us
Nestled in the heart of Lipa, Batangas, with the majestic view of Mt. Malayarat in the background, lies the Esguerra Farms & Stud Inc. Started in the year 2000, the farm has grown from a family refuge away from city life to the birthplace of some of the country’s premiere race horses. The farm comes full circle producing quality fruits and vegetables and providing a nurturing environment for farm animals. It has showcased sustainable living years before this evolved into a trendy lifestyle practice.
The Esguerra family got introduced to the distinct quality of Kurobuta pork through a family friend. It didn’t take long for him to start raising Kurobuta pigs locally, in the most appropriate setting to complement free-range, antibiotic and hormone free farming.
Kurobuta is the Japanese name for this heritage breed, meaning “black pig.” The vast expense and world-class facilities provide the best conditions to raise these so-called “happy pigs”.
The Kurobuta pigs of Esguerra farm are naturally grown and are exposed to elements like the sun, wind and rain. Pasture-raised, they can roam around the farm’s ample space for running and walking.
The farm is a well-planned and periodically upgraded facility, continuously and consistently promoting quality to the next level. The deeper meaning of this advocacy is to make the healthies quality pork more accessible to the Filipinos.
